Astrology Stones for the Aquarius Woman

Astrology Stones for the Aquarius Woman

Roslyn Gemstones, Birthstones & Zodiac Signs Astrology

Aquarius Birthstone ChartAquarius is sometimes referred to as the alien sign of the zodiac and the Aquarius woman wears this label with pride. She is friendly and sociable yet somehow removed as if viewing the world from another realm. Her head is sometimes in the clouds, her inspiration stemming from beyond, she is often considered an enigma. She is a tempest of intellect, independence and innovation, and as a fixed air Sign, she doesn’t like to be told what to do. She follows her intuition as it shifts like the wind.

She is drawn to natural therapies, wind chimes and gemstones that reflect the cosmos. Aquarian astrology stones are imbued with meaning and form the perfect jewels in her otherworldly crown.

Audacious Aquarius Style

The Aquarius woman is the ultimate non-conformist. You will not find her shopping at the local mall; she will pair vintage with handmade and boutique pieces in a style that is all her own.

We associate this zodiac sign with ‘the Age of Aquarius’, and the psychedelic sixties and the Aquarius woman can wear boho chic like a pro, but even if she isn’t into the full flower power look, her style is still unconventional.

The Aquarius woman likes to surprise, jockeying between over-the-top and demure and wearing things in unexpected ways. She’s delightfully eclectic and even though often out of step, her striking originality may set the trends that everyone’s following next year.

Aquarius Astrology Stones

Astrology/Zodiac stones are not as well known as traditional birthstones. Zodiac birthstones correspond to each Sign’s astrological legend (Western and Eastern), associated planets and talismans. Divined from the Ancients pre 15th Century, these mystical gemstones will particularly appeal to the otherworldly nature of Aquarius women. The Zodiac stones for Aquarius include Moss Agate, Sugilite, Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Jasper, Garnet and Amethyst.

Moss Agate

The primary Zodiac stone for Aquarius and it is not actually Agate but white Chalcedony that has green inclusions. This Aquarius stone is thought to bestow a sense of calm and focus, helpful for the sometimes whirlwind mind of the Aquarius woman.
“Sage” combines Moss Agate and Jasper, another lucky stone for Aquarius, in a gemstone bib that evokes the centering energy of nature.

Sugilite

Another rare Aquarius birthstone that is known as a premier “love stone”. It stimulates wisdom and devotion and reveals truth as the highest form of love, thus befitting Aquarius the Water Bearer who must always be her authentic true self.

“Suede” contains vibrant Sugilite beads mixed in a bold and glamorous design. An Aquarius gal would know how to rock this unique statement piece.

Turquoise

The ruling planet of Aquarius is Uranus, and Turquoise is a gemstone associated with Uranus and the planetary stone for Aquarius. This Aquarius stone is thought to bring luck in friendship, money and love. Its mesmerizing blue to green color is the winning hue for Aquarius, reflecting their open and happy yet cool demeanor. The color turquoise also represents an evolved soul, peace and emotional balance. We have many designs in this captivating turquoise palette.

“Santa Fe” is peppered with the Aquarius lucky stone in a wrap bracelet that can also be worn as a necklace.

Lapis Lazuli

Saturn was the ruling planet of Aquarius before Uranus was discovered in 1781 and Lapis Lazuli is the gemstone associated with Saturn. This Aquarius gemstone is known as the Stone of Purity and is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth, thought to stimulate creativity and expand awareness.

“Mali” highlights the celestial blue gemstone with a funky far-away feel.

Jasper

Jasper is a gemstone that can be traced to all ancient civilizations; it was worn by shamans, priests and kings and is the talismanic birthstone for Aquarius. Talismans are carved amulets or pieces of jewelry believed to endow their wearers with magical powers.
Jasper is a grounding stone known as the Supreme Nurturer. It promotes consciousness and acts as a reminder of our connectivity – surely a stone that would resonate with the humanitarian Aquarius.

“Open Plains” features zebra Jasper and Rose Quartz in a dynamic blend of atmospheric and grounding energy.

Traditional Aquarius Birthstone

Traditional birthstones are society-based birthstones often reflecting Western culture and folklore. Garnet is one of the twelve stones in Aaron’s breastplate mentioned in the Book of Exodus and the traditional birthstone for January. Garnet is known as a friendship stone, aptly suiting the amiable Aquarius. It is also believed to bestow strength and aid healing by connecting with primordial, regenerating energy.

“Napi’s” is an exotic ensemble of Jade, Czech glass scarabs and almandine Garnet, a deep red, earthy variety of the gemstone that increases strength and willpower. “Napi’s” has a mystical aura that reaches across time to appeal to the Aquarian spirit.

Modern Aquarius Birthstone

In an effort to standardize birthstones, modern/alternative birthstones were assigned in the early 1900’s by jewelry associations. Although these gemstones have little to do with the Judeo-Christian roots of traditional birthstones, they have been revered for centuries. Until the 18th century, Amethyst was considered a precious stone along with Diamond and Ruby. It has always been associated with February and is the traditional birthstone of that month. Amethyst is the stone of St. Valentine and contains the energy of passion, creativity and spirituality, yet carries the logic of temperance. Amethyst is regarded as a stone of awareness and soulful communion.
“Zenith” exquisitely showcases the beauty of Amethyst foiled against Tigers Eye in a simple yet striking design.

Sometimes quirky but always cool, sweet eccentricity is the quintessential Aquarian trademark. Aquarians are imaginative idea people who look beyond the earthbound and ordinary.  They are natural leaders who live at the crossroads of innovative and unusual. They appreciate one of a kind pieces and will pair them in fabulous ways.

I loved going to work each day for 30 years as a professional career counselor. When I retired, I explored my creativity and regard for crafts until I discovered beading. At age 68 I turned my new found passion- jewelry design, into a business. At age 72 I took on learning about social media marketing and developing my computer skills. I am sharing my journey from inception, to frustration, to elation -in the hope of inspiring others that 'it is not too late to start again'. Welcome to my re-invention!

Thanks for appreciating our jewelry Jonathan Key. Just a reminder that most of our designs are one-of-a-kind, so if there is something specific you think your wife would really like, why not show it to her now?

  1. Another gorgeous blog post! I absolutely LOVE the look of your website and graphics…so pleasing to the eye. Being an Aquarius woman, I can relate to a lot of these traits.

  2. My two favorite lines in this post: “The Aquarius woman is the ultimate non-conformist.” and “She follows her intuition as it shifts like the wind.” I love that you share insight and background around signs and how this shapes your business, Roz. Beautiful samples of your jewelry to support the Aquarius women in our lives. Okay – beautiful samples of your jewelry to support ALL the women in our lives.=>

GIGI EATS, you can have that necklace. The moss agate would look great on you. And you don’t have to be an Aquarius to own or wear any of the pieces we designed.

  3. Another interesting article on the characteristics of a woman of a particular sign. I always think of the women I know who fit into the category and see which of the things you tell about apply to them. Fun series.

  4. With all the Aquarius women I know, I have to agree 100% with: “The Aquarius woman is the ultimate non-conformist.” Yes, ma’am, they are! Just love my Aquarius friends 🙂
And just adore this jewelry. You are so talented and creative!

  5. I love your Aquarius Collection, Roslyn and Beth, especially Lush. It is interesting to see how the crystal and stones associated with Aquarius have changed with time. Incidentally, my late Dad was an Aquarian and he lived up to the characteristics described by Linda Goodman of being 50 years ahead of his time. Aquarians are also good empaths and like to help people. I think of them as Friends of the World whether the rest of us give as much to them as they do to us.

Vatsala Shukla, I waa looking forward to your comment and you did not disappoint. Thanks for adding more traits about an Aquarius. Your appreciation of your Dad comes thru whenever you reference him. Thanks for your compliment and comment.

  6. Absolutely LOVE this post! I’m sure you are not surprised, being that you are speaking directly to me. As an Aquarian I not only “see” myself in this post, but found myself saying “yes, yes, yes” to almost everything you uncovered in the post. This really resonates with me: “Her head is sometimes in the clouds, her inspiration stemming from beyond, she is often considered an enigma. She is a tempest of intellect, independence and innovation, and as a fixed air Sign, she doesn’t like to be told what to do. She follows her intuition as it shifts like the wind” and “The Aquarius woman is the ultimate non-conformist.” Thanks for shedding some insight on us Aquarian women, as in my experience, we are often misunderstood. I love the stones you shared as well, as often I think of Amethyst as “the” stone for us Aquarians. It makes a lot of sense why the Santa Fe bracelet called me and I cannot wait to receive it and wear it.

I plan to reread this post again, as there is so much wealth of information for me to absorb and although I haven’t been a fan of agate or jasper, I will re-look at them and introduce them into my eclectic jewelry collection. Thanks for the gorgeous jewelry choices you featured. I hope more Aquarian ladies step up and buy the piece(s) that call their name!

Knowing you are an Aquarian, I did look forward to your read and comments. I have to agree that it is a very accurate description of you. This could make it easier to respond if asked what are you like. Just say a pure Aquarius. Thank you for being a customer and appreciating our jewelry.

Thanks, Brenda Niemeyer. We do really enjoy designing one-of-a-kind. The gemstone and bead world is so vast, it lends itself to new designs. WE continue to be inspired by nature and haven’t duplicated in 8 years.

  7. I love learning about the connection between gemstones and zodiac signs. Turquoise is one of my favourites – makes me a bit sad I’m not an Aquarian. The ewhole collection is beautiful but I’m especially drawn to Napi’s.

  8. I absolutely love the Lapis Lazuli which is interesting since I am not typically a yellow person. Used to dislike yellow but my tastes are changing and yellow seems to be calling to me more. You do beautiful work.

Thank you so much, Karen of InnerSavvy.com for your compliment and comment. The yellow color is more Chartreuse and the stone is Olive Jade. It really looks beautiful with the blue Lapis. Hope you signed up for our newsletter so you learn of early specials and updated styles.

  9. As always a wonderful article. I’m not aquarius and believe it or not, I don’t know any aquarius women except for my mother. Not sure I would describe her as you describe an aquarius woman but she was an intellect and had very liberal thoughts for a woman born in 1934. Regardless, reading articles like this really do help in picking out a gift for a loved one. Keep them coming!!!

Lisa Swanson, it is special to gift someone with a stone that matches a birthday and many women just choose jewelry because they really like the style, design. color combination. Thanks for your compliment and enthusiasm.

Welcome to our blog Michelle and thanks for your comment. You are so right in that these pieces could look great on anyone. Nice to gift a birthstone, but not necessary. It can even be a treat for yourself.

  10. I’m so disappointed that I’m not an Aquarius. So many different and beautiful stones that resonate with the Aquarian vibration.
Now, I’ll have to wait to find out what you have in store for us Gemini’s.

Joyce Hanson, we have a long way to get to Geminis, of which I am included. We know we will not be writing an astrology blog monthly. We did a few last year and will do a few more this year. As you can see, despite being a labor of love, it is very demanding to create the Zodiac Stone Chart, have the variety of jewelry made in time, etc. We know that if a necklace or stone calls to you, it does not have to be your birthstone.

  11. I love all that you have to say here about the Aquarius woman. That’s my sign, and I see in the comments that I am in good company. I have lived a good bit of my life “out of the box,” not so much by conscious effort but by some bgger design, it seems. The pieces you show here are just beautiful and fitting, and the first one, “Sage” is by far my favorite.

Nice to discover that you are an Aquarius Jane Gramlich. Now I’m intrigued to learn about how you have lived ‘out of the box’. Perhaps it would be out of the box for you to treat yourself. I’m just saying.

  12. When I saw Santa Fe, it immediately brought to mind the Age of Aquarius, hippiedom, peace and love and all that good stuff I remember (mostly) so fondly from the ’70s. I’ve got some earrings that have turquoise and coral in them and they are a stunning combo.

Yes, Jackie Harder, Sante Fe or any combination of turquoise and coral was and is still very popular with people who are very earthy and like the natural look.

  13. Typically, I am not into the “magic” or “power” of the stones in whatever world you view them from, but I do appreciate the knowledge of how others do view the “power” of the stone. For me it is mostly about how they appeal to my sense of beauty and that can and does make me feel pretty good. My favorite here were the Sage and Santa Fe. Of course, from side to the other in the cost spectrum!! You do wonderful work Roslyn!

Thanks, Cheryl Gnad for your comment & compliment. Most of the designs displayed for Aquarius women were made by my artistic daughter. It is hard for me not to be prejudiced but I do think most of them are spectacular and very wearable in their beauty.

  14. Hmmmm I wanna know about the Pisces woman 🙂

That said I find the aquarius woman intriguing….sociable yet removed form it all…That sounds like a princess 🙂 Her birth stone colours are earthy and i love earth colors. So either way I enjoyed the article and now know what to buy my friend next time 🙂

  15. Wonderful stuff Roz. I wasn’t much of a turquoise fan but really like it when blended with other stuff like you did in Sante Fe and Chalcedonet. I love the latter, but the Sante Fe, I wouldn’t have normally picked those colors… but love that one. Not Aquarius… but you knew that… and I just love Amethyst, of course. Great stuff and LOVE the graphics too!
